With that said, we TOTALLY get it if you ask a family member or friend to coordinate. In fact, we did just that for our own wedding to save money. (Aunt Karen--if you're reading this, thank you so much AGAIN! We will never, ever forget how hard you worked at our wedding to make it go so smoothly! We love you!!). And -- truth be told -- we wish we did that piece differently because there's still a cost with asking someone you love to do it for free. For us, it was not being able to have one of our most favorite aunts be involved in the fun, meaningful parts of our wedding because she was helping to make sure the event went smoothly for everyone else at our DIY wedding.
